The Fang is my wharncliffe design. This Fang features a 3.75″ cutting edge. The blade has a satin finish and is made of CPM D2 0.135″ thick at the ricasso with a Rockwell hardness of 60.0. The tang is tapered and it has natural canvas micarta scales. The overall length is 8.5″. It balances nicely on the forefinger.

This is my first tanto design. I call it the Hokkaido. The grind and handle design was inspired by the late Bob Lum’s work. The blade itself maintains its full thickness right up to the tip. The tip has be convexed to make a very strong edge for penetration. This is know as the American Tanto which Bob Lum perfected.
The blade is made of CPM D2 5/32″ thick that has been hollowed ground with a convexed tip for strength. The blade has a 5.25″ cutting edge with a satin finish. The Rockwell hardness of the blade is 60. The scales are black linen micarta on a tapered tang. The overall length is 10.75″. This design is available for custom orders in other lengths.

My thoughts when designing this knife were that I wanted to pack a lot of cutting edge into a small package. This is what I call a three finger knife, meaning that the handle is long enough to get three fingers around. These small knives are easy to carry and conceal, but they are still effective for a majority of cutting tasks.
